By binding capsaicin to a glycoprotein matrix, the efficacy of capsaicin to promote weight loss is achieved at a lower concentration than otherwise required through the use of untreated capsaicin. Accordingly, the benefits of a higher concentration of capsaicin can be attained without the unpleasant side effects.
