An architecture is presented that provides a decorative toothpick device designed primarily for use with chocolate-covered strawberries, cupcakes, cake pops, pastries, or other food articles. The decorative toothpick device comprises a toothpick comprising a first end and a second end, and a decorative molded topper horizontally secured to the first end of the toothpick. The decorative molded topper also comprises an image secured to a surface of the decorative molded topper. The second end of the toothpick is then inserted horizontally into a confection. The decorative toothpick device would then act as an edible decoration attached to the food article. The decorative toothpick device can come in a ready-to-use package, or be prepared by hand by a user. Furthermore, the images of the decorative molded toppers can be decorated in a variety of designs and themes, depending on the occasion.

A beverage cartridge system is adapted to brew a beverage through a brewer having a holder adapted to receive the cartridge system. The holder may have a deep well with one or more needles therewithin to pierce through the bottom of the cartridge system when inserted into the well. The cartridge system may include a short cup and a tall cup, where the tall cup is taller than the short cup to pack more beverage grind. The cartridge system may include a filter within an outer cup. The bottom of the filter may be deep enough to be juxtaposed to the bottom of the cup. The filter may be formed from a material that is substantially resistant to piercing by the needle within the holder such that when the outlet needle pierces through the bottom of the cup, the outlet needle raises the filter at a point of contact, and the filter substantially resists the outlet needle from piercing through the filter during a brewing process.

An aqueous dispersion of fructan-containing particles, wherein the D50 of the fructan-containing particles lies between 2 μm and 50 μm and the solids content of the aqueous dispersion lies between 61 wt. % and 80 wt. %. Also described is a process for the preparation of an aqueous dispersion of fructan-containing particles comprising: bringing fructan and water together to form a mixture; optionally hydrolysing a portion of the fructans in the mixture, such that at the end of this step between 5 wt. % and 25 wt. % of all fructans in the mixture are essentially non-soluble at room temperature; optionally bring the mixture into contact with a purification agent, followed by removal of the purification agent from the mixture; and concentrating the mixture such that the solids content lies between 61 and 80%.

A process for making a candy bar that includes a first substance and a second substance wherein the second substance is either injected into the first substance or coated over the first substance. The candy bar includes a licorice material that is manufactured from a syrup concoction that includes a coconut oil of a defined percentage. Subsequent to the completion of the manufacturing of the first substance, the candy bar is finished to create one of two embodiments. A second substance, chocolate, is injected into the first substance to create the first embodiment. To create the second embodiment of the candy bar, the second substance, chocolate, is coated over the first substance. The second substance, chocolate, is manufactured to have a different melting point for each of the two aforementioned embodiments.

The present invention relates to the formulation and process for preparation of a fried egg product that may be frozen for future heating in a microwave or other oven or griddle, for consumption by an individual. Various ingredients are added and mixed to each of the liquid egg white and liquid egg yolk portions. The liquid egg white portion is preheated and then deposited within a mold for slow cooking under controlled temperature and humidity conditions. The liquid egg yolk portion is preheated and then added to the mold for placement on the egg white portion. Following a short period of cooking, the mold containing the formulated fried eggs is transported to a freezer unit for freezing, then is removed from the mold for packaging and storage. At a future time, the frozen formulated fried egg product may be thawed and reheated for consumption by an individual.

A method and template for preparing small, tender cakes is provided. The method includes preparing sheet cakes and slicing them into sleeves of cake. Frosting is template and frozen, and then rolled around the narrow cake leaf. Fillings may be added inside the cake leaf before rolling. The cake is then rolled similarly to maki-style sushi, sliced into shorter segments, and presented vertically on a serving dish. Decorations and additional frosting may be used.

A bag for storage and shipment of respiring produce, such as bananas, made from that film material, as well as a method for shipping and storing respiring produce, such as bananas, avocados, salad components or flowers, utilizing that bag, are also disclosed.

The T-joint member is configured to allow wine to be pumped into the through-opening through the side opening and to exit through the bottom opening and then to flow onto the impeller. The impeller is configured to allow the wine to flow uniformly around and down the conical-shaped outer surface of the impeller and through the impeller.

A method of storing potatoes comprises storing a plurality of endodormant or ecodormant potatoes in a first gaseous environment including carbon dioxide in an amount of from greater than the amount of carbon dioxide present in atmospheric air to up to 5 mol % based on the composition of the first gaseous environment; and in a subsequent storage step storing the potatoes in a second gaseous environment including carbon dioxide in an amount of from 0.03 to 2 mol % based on the composition of the second gaseous environment, the first and second gaseous environments having different carbon dioxide contents. The method may comprise: monitoring the dormancy of the potatoes; in response to eye movement of a potato, changing the first gaseous environment to a second gaseous environment; maintaining a level of carbon dioxide in the second gaseous environment below a selected threshold to control sugar content of the potatoes.

The hot combustion product gases are then delivered downwardly through the heating chamber into contact with the items or materials on the conveyor. Next the combustion product gases are delivered from the lower portion of the heating chamber into the lower portion of a second annulus or other flow gap or passage. The second flow gap or passage is separated from the heating chamber by the first annulus or other flow gap. Subsequently, the combustion product gases are delivered upwardly through the second flow gap or passage.

The fat or oil composition comprises the following components (A), (B), and (C):(A) a fat or oil in which a total content of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid in constituent fatty acids of the fat or oil is from 0.1 to 20 mass % with respect to total constituent fatty acids of the fat or oil; (B) a rosemary extract; and (C) a dill extract, in which a mass ratio of a content of the component (B) to a content of the component (C), [(B)/(C)], is from 2 to 200.
